The Bon Kousa Foundation is a non-profit organisation on Bonaire.
We help realise cultural and environmental awareness & conservation projects.

The founders of the foundation, Bart & Jacqueline Landheer-Bremmers are involved in projects about children, education and the environment.

The publishing of this book fits within the objectives of our foundation. We hope this book will contribute to the preservation of the local culture as well as stimulate renewed interest to study and use proverbs at the schools and in daily life of the Papiamentu speakers.

Bon Kousa means “for a good cause” in the Papiamentu language. We aim to realise more projects. Therefore this book should also help to raise funds for other new initiatives that the Bon Kousa foundation has lined up.
